Sustainable Community Strategy (SCS)
Walsall council has committed resources to work with our partners on the preparation of a Sustainable Community Strategy for the borough of Walsall. This will replace the current Community Plan. The new strategy will bring together into a single document and strategy, the partners’ approach to a range of key issues for the borough and its people, including social, economic, environmental and land use issues.
Walsall council and its partners in Walsall Borough Strategic Partnership, are keen to use this opportunity to the full, so that our plans and strategies are ‘aligned’ – that is they are consistent and complement each other and are based on a common understanding of local needs, expectations and priorities. The Sustainable Community Strategy will be the primary document driving the transformation of the borough and will be in place by April 2008.
